It was announced in early September that if a September 15, 2010 deadline for sale was not met, the classic 1925 John Miller masterpiece the Big Dipper, of the former Geauga Lake Park in Aurora, OH, would be demolished. Luckily for fans of the ride, including those who have ridden it decades and those who never had a chance to ride it, two coaster enthusiasts teamed up in an attempt to save the coaster.

After weeks of negotiations, the sale was completed on September 30th. The nearly impossible had been done – at the last minute, the Big Dipper had been saved!! This website has been set up to showcase all news and information regarding the dismantling, storage and relocation of the Big Dipper.
